KBS2TV’s upcoming drama, “Dream High“, has gained a considerable amount of interest due to its A-list cast. But because the show revolves around idol members, coordinating schedules has becoming a nightmare for the drama’s production team.

2PM’s Taecyeon and Wooyoung, miss A’s Suzy, T-ara’s Eunjung and IU are among the top idol stars in the nation at the moment. Consequently, their schedules are jam-packed with promotions, interviews, and other engagements that accompany their high-fluted status.

It’s led the drama coordinators to lament that trying to match up the differing schedules is like trying to pick a star from the sky.

KBS’s chief drama producer, Ko Ki Won expressed, “They are some of the most popular idols around now, and are very busy people. It’s very difficult to arrange a suitable filming time, where we can get at least 3 idol stars on camera. Each time, we would be faced with a situation where one of them would be unable to make it. Some of them are making their comebacks, while others need to travel overseas for promotions – it’s a very ardous task to coordinate schedules.”

Taecyeon and Wooyoung have to manage their Japanese promotions with 2PM, as the group just released a new album there. Suzy must balance her overseas schedules with miss A as well, while IU and Eunjung are currently in the midst of their comeback promotions.

It’s a frustrating task for both the drama coordinators and the idols, but regardless, production for the drama appears to be chugging along.

Check out the latest subbed preview for “Dream High”, and let’s hope that things smooth out for the cast and staff on board.
