Flashing the cash: Reese Witherspoon helps the homeless in Beverly Hills

Any spare change: A smiling Reese Witherspoon, pictured with a friend, chats to a homeless man in Beverly Hills yesterday and hands over some cash

She's the second highest paid actress in Hollywood.

So clearly Reese Witherspoon, who banked $32m last year, is not short of a bob or two.

The 34-year-old star stopped and chatted to a wheelchair bound homeless man in Beverly Hills yesterday before handing him $20.

Reese ranked as the second highest earning Hollywood actress in the 12 months leading up to June last year behind Sandra Bullock who came top in the Forbes poll with $56m.

The Legally Blonde actress announced her engagement to Jim Toth earlier this month.
Mother-of-two Reese, who was previously married to actor Ryan Phillippe, is no doubt determined to get in the best shape possible for her impending nuptials, and has been running virtually every day in a bid to get fit.

As well as planning her wedding ceremony, Reese is getting ready for the release of her new film Water For Elephants, in which she stars alongside Robert Pattinson.

The actress will no doubt be hoping the movie is more successful than her last vehicle, How Do You Know, which cost $120million to make but has only made $29million at the global box office to date.

Meanwhile, Reese's representative has been forced to deny rumours the actress is pregnant after America's Star magazine claimed she had been spotted buying a pregnancy test earlier this month.

However, the actress' spokesperson slammed the report, insisting it is 'not at all true'.
