Sweet life: Paris Hilton reaches for a chocolate as she cools off in the swimming pool of her yacht in Cannes
Paris Hilton has only been single for a matter of weeks, since splitting from U.S. baseball star Doug Reinhardt.
But she wasted no time in getting herself back on the party circuit (well she is a professional party girl, after all) – and the 29-year-old heiress opened up her private photo diary exclusively to Mail Online to reveal what goes on behind the scenes of her decadent lifestyle.
In one of the exclusive photos, Paris is shown cosying up to 24-year-old Jesus Luz, the on-off Brazilian boyfriend of Madonna, (though Paris told us she hadn’t a clue who he was when she met him).
Cheers to my fabulous life: The heiress shows her affection for Moet & Chandon champagne
The photo was taken at the Cannes Film Festival – the event which Paris considers her favourite social engagement of the year.
As Paris tells Mail Online exclusively, ‘This was my best Cannes yet – I think it had something to do with the fact that I’m single!’
And the photos certainly show what we already knew – Paris has no shortage of self confidence.
Bed of roses: Paris poses on a table strewn with petals spelling out her initials
It's Jesus! Paris was snapped with Madonna's boyfriend - but insists she didn't know who he was
The famously hedonistic heiress showed off her unrivalled ability to pose for the camera in a series of tongue in cheek photos.
In some she shows off a very revealing bikini as she cavorts in the swimming pool of her yacht, while others show her pulling a variety of contorted poses on the deck.
But it’s the party shots that show what Paris is really good at. A jerobaum of Moet & Chandon champagne here, a table strewn with roses spelling out her initials there – not to mention a whole host of action shots from the dance floor.
Mirror, mirror: The socialite gets ready for a fun night out
Well heeled: Paris selects her footwear for the evening
Life of the party: The blonde put her dance moves on show
Paris’s party buddies included her sister Nicky and, rather unconventionally, her mother and father – Kathy and Richard.
What a difference a year makes: Paris with Doug Reinhardt in Cannes last year
Me and my family stayed on the most incredible yacht – it was so nice having them there with me,’ she said.
In past years Paris Hilton has made headlines at the festival by accidentally flashing photographers, losing her BlackBerry which contained all of her private phone numbers of fellow A-listers, and it was this time last year that Paris announced to photographers that she would marry Doug.
However, their relationship ended last month, and Paris has insisted that she’s enjoying her new single life.
She recently declared: 'I'm single - and very happy,' she said. 'I've never been single before my whole life. I've always had a boyfriend.
‘I feel free and independent and I'm getting to know myself better - not spending so much time with a guy but spending that time on myself and I love that.'
But she added: 'I've learned a lot about men. You can't trust them, some of them.
'Being in this industry you never know what the guy's intentions are.'
Family affair: Paris with her father Richard and sister Nicky

Tara Reid reveals new bikini body after 'repair work' to fix botched surgery
By Daily Mail Reporter
Confident: Tara Reid at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas yesterday
Botched cosmetic procedures shattered her confidence six years ago, but Tara Reid looked happy to be back in a bikini in Las Vegas yesterday.
The American Pie actress wore a bright green string two-piece as she attended the second annual Love Festival at The Palms Casino Resort.
It's easy being green: The American Pie actress mingled with the crowd at the second annual Love Festival
Ripply tummy: Reid on the beach in 2007
It's the first time Reid has stepped out in a bathing suit since doctors corrected previous surgery that left her disfigured, according to America's Us Weekly.
She went under the knife in 2004, but her joint liposuction and breast enhancement operation went drastically wrong.
'It looked like I got completely butchered up,' she later said of her enlarged cleavage.
Of her liposuction, Reid added: 'I had body contouring, but it all went wrong. My stomach became the most ripply, bulgy thing.'
But she is once again comfortable in her own skin - so much so that the 34-year-old even posed for Playboy in December last year.
'I'm relaxed,' she told the publication at the time.
'I'm a young woman with confidence ... At the end of the day, I go to sleep knowing who I am.
'I'm happy with my life now, and I'd like to keep it this way.'
Reid, who has seen her career stall in recent years, is due to appear in a low-budget thriller called The Fields.

Over The Rainbow winner Danielle Hope says Andrew Lloyd Webber wasn't 'as scary' as she thought he would be

Not so scary: Over The Rainbow winner Danielle Hope says Andrew Lloyd Webber wasn't as intimidating as she thought he would be
Over the Rainbow winner Danielle Hope says Andrew Lloyd Webber was not nearly as scary as she imagined him to be.
The 18-year-old, from Urmston in Greater Manchester, was crowned the winner of BBC1's popular talent show last Saturday.
She told Hello! magazine that while Lord Lloyd Webber - who sat on the judging panel - may seem intimidating, she felt at ease as soon as she met him.
She said: 'As soon as he shook my hand I just relaxed. I was like "Oh, you're not this scary person".'
The young musical star also said she will be moving into a central London flat on her own, and added she quickly matured after her parents split up when she was 11.
She said: 'It really made me grow up. The independence that I had to maintain and embody was the making of me now.
'I'm really grateful for that.'
Her boyfriend, fellow drama student Taylor Danson, will remain in Manchester when she moves.
Close contest: Hope went head-to-head with Sophie Evans in the final
Winner: Hope with the judging panel Lord Lloyd Webber, Sheila Hancock, Charlotte Church, John Partridge and Graham Norton
Read the full interview in Hello! out now
She added: 'I haven't really been able to see him properly for the past five months and I think if we've been all right through that then it will be fine when I've moved to London.
'Obviously any relationship is going to be tested when you're in a really stressful situation but you know I'm only 18, I'm just living life as it goes along and seeing what happens.'
If she had not won, Hope would have been auditioning for drama schools, she added.
But she was worried about the financial risks.
'Even if I'd got into drama school, the fees can be £13,000 a year, so unless I got a scholarship, I wouldn't have been able to afford to go,' she said.
From next March, Hope will lead the cast of Lord Lloyd Webber's new West End production of The Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium, having captured the voting public's imagination.
Before signing up for the show she was a full-time student in Knutsford, Cheshire, with dreams of becoming a performer.

British racing driver escapes with broken leg after car disintegrates in 200mph horror smash
By Daily Mail Reporter
Mike Conway goes airborne before crashing into the fencing after colliding with Ryan Hunter-Reay (37) during Indianapolis 500
This is the moment British driver Mike Conway was launched into the air at 200mph during the Indy 500 motor race.
His car catapulted into the safety fencing and disintegrated in front of hundreds of thousands of horrified spectators.
But amazingly, Conway only sustained broken leg and ligament damage.
Dreyer & Reinbold Racing driver Mike Conway flies through the air after crashing with Andretti Autosport driver Ryan Hunter-Reay
The car was airborne for several seconds during the penultimate lap of the race
Team owner Dennis Reinbold told how the accident happened a split second before he was about to warn Conway that other drivers were sklowing down.
'I was just getting ready to tell Mike, 'Some guys are going to slow down, so give yourself some room'' Reinbold said, his upper lip quivering. 'I never got the words out.'
With cars slowing to save fuel, the 26-year-old Briton entered the narrow short chute between turns three and four, ran into Ryan Hunter-Reay's sputtering car and flew into the catch fence.
The accident on Lap 199 prompted the final caution of the race and shook up the drivers.
'It's not comforting going underneath a car flipping in the air,' Danica Patrick said. 'I got through it, but I hope they're OK. It's never good when people are upside down and doing cartwheels
The car begins to disintegrate as it strikes the catch fencing going backwards at 200mph
This amazing image captures the split second when Conway's car slams into the fence
Horrified spectators look on as the racing car splinters apart. But, crucially, the cockpit remains intact saving Conway from serious injury
The remains of the car skids along the race track with the driver strapped inside. Because the vehicle was very low on fuel, there was no fire
Reinbold didn't even realize at first that it was Conway and teammate Ana Beatriz involved in the crash.
The small-budget team owner with four cars in Sunday's lineup had his eyes on IndyCar's biggest prize - winning the Indianapolis 500 - and decided to send Conway after it.
'We caught the pack. When you catch the pack and you're going that fast, it's a gamble,' Reinbold said. 'But it's the Indianapolis 500 and sometimes you have to take a gamble.'
Survived: Mike Conway suffered compound fracture to his left leg
The risk didn't pay off, shaking Reinbold and his team as the car was unloaded in two long pieces and the destroyed chassis was thrown into a pile of rubble.
Doctors rushed to his aid as wreckage was strewn across the track and Conway, 26, was airlifted to hospital.
His injuries were last night described as 'gruesome' and the man from Bromley in Kent faces a long fight back.
Doctors believe Conway suffered a compound fracture of his left leg, as well as tearing ligaments and tendons in his knees and ankles.
The miracle is that his injuries were not more serious given the severity of the accident that drew gasps not just from the crowd, but from the drivers coming to the end of one of the fastest and most gruelling events in the motor racing calendar.
Reinbold acknowledged series officials didn't have enough time to react to the slowing field and the hard-charging Conway.
Brian Barnhart, IndyCar president of competition and racing operations, said there was probably nothing he would have done anyway.
'It looked like the closing rate was pretty significant between the 37 and 24 and when you're in the middle of a corner like that,' Barnhart said.
'It's one of the risks that happens when you come down to the end of a race.'
Hunter-Reay, however, thought it could have been prevented another way.
'In hindsight we should have stopped for fuel,' he said. 'It's dangerous. ...
There's no runoff lane. There's no bailout procedure. You've got to slow down or you're going to hit the car in front of you.'

Peckish Lady Gaga sends security guard to pick up a curry after taxing interview
By Mail Online Showbiz Reporter
Slim: Lady Gaga wears a bra and trousers combination which shows off her figure as she leaves the SHOWstudio interview today
As she emerged from a London studio showing off her slim figure in a bra, trousers and little else, it was hard to believe Lady Gaga has ever eaten anything fattening.
But the 24-year-old singer was apparently so hungry after an interview with fashion film website SHOWstudio that she sent her security guard to a local Indian restaurant to pick up a curry for her.
While it remains to be seen whether Gaga went for a korma or a jalfrezi, one thing is clear - the singer is a big fan of supporting local eateries.
Last year, following a performance on The X Factor, Gaga popped into a pub in nearby Acton for a fish and chip supper.
But today it was Indian - from restaurant Khabe near Marylebone.
The Poker Face singer was clearly peckish after her interview with SHOWstudio, in which she was quizzed by some of fashion's most famous names, including Naomi Campbell and Cathy Horyn.
Toned: The outfit highlighted Gaga's flat stomach and slim frame
Hungry: Gaga was so peckish after the interview that she sent her bodyguard to Khabe takeaway around the corner to pick up a curry
When she was asked by Campbell who she would like to duet with, she replied: 'With you Naomi! I would have loved to do a duet with Judy Garland. I would have loved to have known her.
'And John Lennon, David Bowie! And Nick Knight, but we do lots of duets together.'
Gaga also spoke about duetting with Elton John at the Grammy Awards earlier this year, saying she felt the performance marked a 'transition' in her life.
She said: 'I felt so happy, and so joyful, and so grateful! You can really see it on my face in that performance that I was just so happy.
Terrified: Gaga, seen here performing at the O2 arena tonight, is said to have spent £3,000 on ghostbusting equipment to use before her gigs
Scared: Gaga is said to be terrified of the 'bad energy' created by spirits
'It was a transition at that point, where I was beginning to build friendships with these people I admire so much. It was like the Berlin Wall falling. I felt a lot freer after that. I felt very free.'
Meanwhile, Gaga is allegedly so scared of being haunted while she is performing that she has purchased 'ghostbusting equipment' for her aides to use on tour and sweep the venues before she goes on stage.
The singer is said to have spent a staggering £3,000 on the equipment, which includes electromagnetic field readers.
Ghostbuster Dan Webb told the Daily Mirror: 'When I took the order for the kit I had no idea who it was for. But then I checked the listings and saw who was playing the O2.
'Her aide said the gear had to be robust as they were taking it on the road - so they must be doing this every where Lady Gaga is performing.'

And in Istanbul Nicole Scherzinger wore a colour block blue, purple and white as she cheered on triumphant Lewis Hamilton at the Turkish Grand Pix.
All four celebrities wore their dresses with glossy hair, manicured nails and a pair of designer sunglasses, to achieve the look of the season.

Kelly is in Los Angeles for a summer break with boyfriend Danny Cipriani.
The 30-year-old is combining some modelling assignments with a series of shopping trips, expensive meals and sun bathing.
Today she also fitted in a catch up with a pregnant friend, before heading for lunch at the upmarket Palihouse.

Although she covered up in her maxi dress today, Kelly wasn't so modest in her latest modelling asignment.
To advertise Reebok slendertone trainers she posed in her underwear, doing the hoovering and cooking in her pants.
Luckily she chose a more suitable dress for her LA trip.

Kelly Brook promotes new toning trainers (oh, so THAT'S why she's in her knickers!)
By Sarah Bull
Mind the oven! Kelly Brook promotes Reebok's EasyTone trainers by posing in a black and white pair of knickers
She has never been shy about showing off her figure.
So when the opportunity arose for Kelly Brook to promote Reebok's new EasyTone trainers, she had no problem stripping to her underwear in a rather gratuitous way of showing off the toning footwear.
Whether it's cooking in a pair of black and white striped knickers and cropped T-shirt, or doing the hoovering in a yellow vest top and lime green pair, Kelly shows whatever you are doing, you can wear EasyTones while doing it.
*** Scroll down to watch the video ***
She said: 'EasyTones are brilliant, it's like having a little gym built into your trainers. I wear them all the time especially if I don't have time to get to the gym and then at least I know I'm doing something for my body.
'They make your legs feel toned and bum feel pert, they are like magic shoes! I've been wearing them to tone up for the summer and have really seen a difference, which is why I didn't mind getting my hotpants on for the video.
'I had so much fun re-creating the advert - hula-hooping, trampolining, dancing around in my EasyTones. My dog Rocky even got a guest appearance in the last shot!'
Clean freak: Kelly makes sure her 'flat' is spotless as she does the hoovering in a skimpy underwear set
Glowing: The model looks stunning in the Reebok advert - showing off her famous figure and sparkling smile
Kelly, 30, isn't the only celebrity fan of the revolutionary new trainers - Helena Christensen, Kim Kardashian, Whitney Port, Miranda Kerr and Bar Refaeli have all spoken about how impressed they are by the fitness shoes.
Kelly, who is currently in Los Angeles with boyfriend Danny Cipriani, has always spoken freely about her weight, and says it's sometimes a struggle to maintain her slimline shape.
She said recently: 'I enjoy healthy food and it makes me feel good. But it’s definitely not a crazy diet, I’m not going to deny myself desserts.
Fashion icon: Kelly has been wearing flirty outfits during her time in Los Angeles with Danny Cipriani
'I always try to have three meals a day and don’t snack on bad stuff. I like to make soups, which are healthy, filling and don’t make you feel bloated. I also love making healthy fish or vegetarian dishes.'
Kelly is also the face and body of lingerie brand Ultimo, and has been showing off her amazing figure in a series of flirty outfits while in LA.
After wearing a tight heart-print dress earlier this week, Kelly stepped out in a flowery playsuit to make the most of the LA sun.

Britain's Got Talent: Tears, tantrums and heartbreak as final round of auditions ends in style
By Mail Online Showbiz Reporter
Emotional: Dance group A3 were tearful after performing but the trio went sailing through to the semi-final
The final round of auditions for Britain's Got Talent were as bizarre as ever tonight with a miming pig, a pole dancer and a Madonna drag act all performing for judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan.
There were tantrums and tears, but the most emotional moment of the night came when brothers Amukheani, Arnold and Anthony, otherwise known as A3, broke down after their performance.
'It just means so much and we've practised so hard as a family. It's all we want to do.' said Arnold.
Band of brothers: The trio from Swansea wowed the judges with their talent and commitment
The sensitive trio, from Swansea, even brought a tear to the eye of host Ant McPartlin, who was watching from backstage.
'He's got me going now,' he said. But the judges were full of praise for the youngsters who danced to Prodigy hit Firestarter, before switching to a Michael Jackson medley.
'I like the fact that you’re three brothers and you worked really hard to be here,' said Piers.
And while Simon told the boys that their routine 'ran out of steam' towards the end, he said he was impressed by them.
'Exceptionally talented, love your enthusiasm, love your commitment and love the fact that you're brothers as well.'
Unimpressed: Judges Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell look on in horror as AliBaba perform
Time of their life? AliBaba perform a move from Dirty Dancing, but the Turk almost drops his partner
The most bizarre performance came at the start of the show when a woman named Christine brought her pet pig to mime to the Michael Jackson hit Beat It.
‘I didn’t believe you when you said he was going to mime to the record,’ remarked Simon.
‘Does he do other songs? I don’t think it was quite the Michael Jackson tribute everyone was expecting,’ he added before putting them through to the next round.
Meanwhile pole dancer Alesia Vazmitel impressed the judges with her flexibility.
‘That was mesmerising,’ said Piers while Simon quipped, ‘I’ve never seen anyone do that with a pole before.’
Dance group Peridot had the audience on their feet with an energetic routine.
Splash of colour: Dance Flavourz were put through to the next round, even though Simon said he didn't know what to do with them
Crowd pleasers: Dance group Peridot had the audience up in the seats, but Simon told them they had a long way to go
However Simon warned the boys that there were stronger dance acts in the competition and told them they’d have to work twice as hard if they were to make it through.
Next up were Ali Baba, a double act consisting of friends Memit and Kelsey, whose strange dance routine which included steps from Michael Jackson and Dirty Dancing, fell flat with the judges.
Memit stunned the crowd when he walked off stage after hearing two buzzers go off, but was convinced to return by hosts Ant and Dec.
‘It just seemed desperate,’ remarked Amanda before sending them home.
Meanwhile ventriloquist Stephen Florence launched an attack on the audience after they booed him during his routine with dummy Wellington.
'I could do some decent ventriloquism if you’d all shut up! You are rude people,’ he ranted before being asked to leave the stage.
Bewitched: Dance troupe with a twist: Fusion performed dressed as witches
On for a song: Father and son act Graham and James
Dance Flavourz, a troupe made up of 11 women and one man, performed for the judges next.
'That was really, really special and you are utterly compelling to watch,' Piers told them.
However Simon was less enthusiastic. 'If I'm being honest this is total, utter madness. I don't know what to do with you,' he said.
Dance troupe with a twist, Fusion performed dressed as witches and divided the judges.
'The costumes were very inventive,'said Piers. 'The choreography was fantastic. It was really quite sinister, you are a scary bunch.
Poledancer Alesia impressed the judges with her flexibility
Stars of the future? Eyebrow raising act Nathan (left) and Madonna tribute Phillip Grimmer
Singer Kev Orkian performed Elton John's I'm Still Standing - the scratched CD version - to the amazement of the judges.
Madonna tribute act Phillip Grimmer returned to the show two years after performing as Kylie Minogue.
'You have definitely improved,' Piers told him. But Simon disagreed.
'The problem was the dancing,' he said. 'The dancing was horrific.'
However Amanda said she enjoyed his performance. 'People underestimate just how much courage it takes for people to stand on that stage... I'm going to say yes.' she said.

Germany win as Spain are rudely interrupted by stage invader at Eurovision Song Contest
By Liz Thomas
Intrusion: An unidentified man invades the stage as Daniel Diges from Spain performs his song Algo Pequenito (Something Tiny)
Germany were crowned the winners of the Eurovision song contest tonight after an eventful evening which saw Spain perform twice after their first attempt was interrupted by a stage invader.
The second ever German winner, Lena Mayer-Landrut, 19, took home the prize with her British-styled song Satellite.
And it may not have been the dreaded ‘nul points’ at last night’s Eurovision Song Contest – but the UK lived up to its pitiful record by finishing last for the third time in less than ten years.
Unwelcome guest: Diges was later allowed to perform again
Josh Dubovie, 19, was awarded a feeble ten points at the contest in Oslo, as Germany chalked up a clear victory.
There was a typically eccentric array of acts among the 25 entrants but the Essex teenager’s song, That Sounds Good To Me, obviously didn’t sound good to judges from the other countries.
The show had earlier got off to a bizarre when a man, who was wearing a T-Shirt which read Jimmy Jump.com, raced up to singer Daniel Diges while he performed Algo Pequenito (Something Tiny).
He then began to dance around the stage before being chased off by security guards.
Last place: Britain's entrant Josh Dubovie performs That Sounds Good To Me, but will he failed to impress the judges
First place: Singer Lena became the second ever German winner with her song Satellite
Germany’s Lena scored 246 points for her platinum-selling single, already a No 1 hit across mainland Europe.
Afterwards she said: ‘This is so great. I never thought something like this could ever happen to me.’
Ahead of last night’s show, Josh Dubovie's song had already been dubbed our worst ever Eurovision entry. Bookmakers Ladbrokes offered odds of 175-1 against Josh winning the competition, while the odds of him achieving the infamous ‘nul points’ were as low as 5-1.
Even the song’s composer Pete Waterman had admitted it was ‘highly unlikely’ the UK would win the 55th hosting of the event.
Taking flight: Belarus perform their song Butterflies during the contest in Oslo, Norway
Vision in red: Georgia's entrant Sofia Nizharadze performs the song Shine
He raced up to singer Daniel Diges while he performed Algo Pequenito (A Little Something) – and danced around before being chased off by security guards. Spain was allowed to perform again before voting closed.
This year’s contest also featured Welshman Jon Lilygreen representing Cyprus.
Jon, from Newport, performed with The Islanders, but they finished in the bottom half with Life Looks Better In Spring.
BBC host Graham Norton said after the results were announced: 'Poor old Josh. He gave a very credible performance tonight and he should be proud of himself but it wasn't to be.'
Norton hosted the show, his second time presenting the contest – after taking over from Sir Terry Wogan who stood down in 2008.
In full blossom: Eva Rivas from Armenia performs the song Apricot Stone
Danish treat: Chanee & N'evergreen from Denmark perform the song In A Moment Like This
The rules were changed last year after heavy criticism that political block voting by Eastern European nations skewed the competition.
For the first time, voting in the final was split between tele-voting and panels of musical experts.
Jade Ewen, who now sings in pop band Sugababes, was the UK’s 2009 entry and finished in fifth place after singing Andrew Lloyd Webber’s It’s My Time.
The musical impresario heavily promoted the song across Europe – helping to boost its profile.
In 2008 bin man Andy Abraham finished joint last prompting many – including Sir Terry – to question if there was any point in Britain taking part.
The last time the UK enjoyed victory in the competition was in 1997 when Katrina And The Waves won in Dublin with Love Shine A Light.
Winners: The last time the UK enjoyed victory in the competition was in 1997 when Katrina And The Waves won in Dublin with Love Shine A Light
Watched by an audience of around 125 million across the continent, the Eurovision Song Contest was a more muted affair than usual as the economic crisis begins to bite.
Norway slashed the budget by a quarter and fewer countries are competing than usual because of financial reasons.
'Of course the economic crisis is affecting us, we have fewer countries competing this year and they all withdrew for the same reason - budget cuts,' said Svante Stockselius, executive supervisor of the contest.
The Czech Republic, Montenegro and Andorra dropped out of the competition altogether, while Hungary decided not to enter a contestant but will still air the show.
