She may have a brand new shiny Oscar clutched tightly in her hand, but Sandra Bullock only had eyes for Jesse James.
The Best Actress winner was caught in a tender moment being congratulated by her proud husband backstage at the Oscars, moments after being handed her award.
James, a TV personality in the U.S., was unashamedly proud of his 40-year-old wife, declaring: 'She deserves it more than anybody.
'I got teary eyed when she won. I'm so happy,' he told Us magazine.
On the Oprah Winfrey show Blind Side star Bullock returned the compliment, thanking her husband for putting up with her throughout the awards season.
'This is a man who works 12 hours a day, manual labour,' she said. 'I have to pull him out of bed… and say, "Can you try on the Dolce suit?"
'He's like, "Do I have to?" I'm like: "Yes. I don't want you to look like a bad waiter." He's amazing.'

Also captured in the first euphoric moments after winning her Oscar was Precious star Mo'nique, thanking award presenter Robin Williams for handing her the Best Supporting Actress.
The film's writer, Geoffrey Fletcher, appeared slightly afraid of his award.
In a candid shot his Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay stands alone on a table as he backs away, laughing at it, while Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams stand by.

Kathryn Bigelow posed with her Oscars for Best Director and Best Motion Picture clutched proudly in her hands, held out straight in front of her.
After beating ex-husband James Cameron to the awards she is unlikely to let them go.
More low key were Best Supporting Actor Christoph Waltz and Best Actor Jeff Bridges.

Both rested their Oscar on their knee, but firmly clenched in their fist, as they posed for the camera.
Best Original Song winner Ryan Bingham sat with his Oscar held proudly towards the lens, as presenter Amanda Seyfried waited behind him.
And Best Sound Editing winner Paul N.J. Ottoson had an Oscar in each hand as he celebrated backstage with Anna Kendrick and Zac Efron.
