Stella McCartney may have showcased her most understated pieces to date during Paris Fashion Week.
But the pared-down collection, which was dedicated to the late Alexander McQueen, was by no means compromised in quality as the show appeared to be a smash hit.
Featuring simple but elegant designs even mere mortals will want to own, Stella's line offered timeless appeal.

In shade du jour nude, ubiquitous blacks and greys and even a flash of block colour neon, the designer worked all the season's hottest trends - but transformed them into a functional, wearable wardrobe.
Led by proud father Sir Paul and girlfriend Nancy Shevell, the front row crowd applauded the successful designer as she greeted fans at the end of the show.
Even Anna 'Nuclear' Wintour, editrice of fashion bible Vogue, made a dignified appearance.
The picture of modesty, Stella exuded elegance in grey trousers and matching v-neck from her collection.
The mother-of-three, who also designs for sports super brand Adidas, clearly has the modern woman in mind when working on her collection, adopting a no-fuss ethos that translates into clean lines and sharp tailoring - without compromising on femininity.
Anyone contemplating a Stella minidresses this season will however need to ensure they are toned and honed as models paraded endlessly long bare legs in shorter-than-short hemlines.
For those who don't possess quite as much confidence however, there were classic coats with modern twists, zip detailing and padding - new trends featuring heavily on the Paris circuit - and trouser suits which left more to the imagination.
Grazia'a fashion editor said:'With this collection Stella proved that she is still has the knack of knowing what women want to wear, even before they do.
'McCartney nailed what the modern woman wants to wear right now - luxurious, beautifully-cut clothes that don’t vie with their wearer for attention.'

And it seems the front row - including actress Thandie Newton and model Natalia Vodianova - were suitably impressed with what was on offer as they greeted the designer with a warm applause.
Singer Beth Ditto however appeared to be more interested in Sir Paul, leaning in especially for a kiss with the Beatle.
Sir Paul, engrossed in the conversation, was only to happy to oblige - let's just hope Stella, or girlfriend Nancy wasn't watching.
