"What Taylor has done for country music inside the United States is amazing in itself, but what she has done for the format internationally is outstanding," Tammy Genovese, the CMA's CEO, stated. "She recognizes the importance of taking her music around the globe, and in doing so, has become a phenomenal ambassador for country music. She is very deserving of this award."
The other three kudos grabbed by Taylor Swift are for Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year and Music Video of the Year. "I want to thank every single person tonight for not running up on stage during my speech," Taylor said when accepting Female Vocalist of the Year title, poking at Kanye West for what he did on the stage of 2009 MTV VMAs.
Following her domination at the November 11 ceremony was Brad Paisley with two gongs.
