Gaga-alike: A fan dressed in one of Gaga's trademark bikini costumes accosts Louis with a bunch of fellow fans outside the O2 Arena

It may have come as a surprise to many of Lady Gaga's fans to see Louis Walsh arriving in Dublin to watch her perform on the first night of three sell out dates.

The X Factor judge last month slammed the billion selling performer for being 'more famous for her hats than her songs'.

But Walsh was left eating humble pie last night when he was mobbed by Gaga fans outside the O2 Arena in Dublin.

One fan dressed as Lady Gaga attached herself to the Irish boyband manager - who didn't seem to mind the attention.

No sign of 'burn out' yet Louis: The mega-selling singer shows off her voluptuous curves in this black PVC studded bikini and stiletto boots. The jury's out on the new hair colour though...

Walsh was quoted only last month as saying: 'Everyone says she’s the new Madonna, but I don’t think she can keep it up. I think she’ll burn out.'

He may have been eating his words judging by last night's performance.

The star has set a new record for YouTube, having racked up more than one billion overall views of her material on the video-sharing website.

Tweeting to her seven million followers on Twitter recently she said: 'We reached one billion views on YouTube little monsters!'

Bohemian rhapsody: Gaga's Monster Ball Tour has been described by the songstress as a 'pop-electro opera'. To date critics have been impressed by the theatricality of the show, comparing it to the tours of artists including Madonna

Lady Gaga mixed acoustic numbers with more up-tempo numbers, changing costume regularly.

She went through all her hits including Love Game, Just Dance and recent smash Telephone, finishing the show with a glittering rendition of Paparazzi.

Unsurprisingly the star returned to the stage with her dancers for the encore, performing Bad Romance to a screaming crowd.

The popstar is staying at the Four Seasons Hotel in Ballsbridge, in the hotel's most exclusive suite.

A hotel insider said: 'The hotel had a call from one of her assistants on Friday with a number of requests, including a constant supply of fresh fruit and bottles of water at room temperature for her room.'

Dressing room demands apparently included an oxygen tank, two bottles of white wine, some manuka honey and organic ginger and lemongrass tea.

Four seasons in one day: Lady Gaga's huge entourage of dancers meant the singer booked out a large number of rooms at the exclusive Dublin hotel, the Four Seasons

The hotel also had a small number of other requests including that a bikram yoga and pilates expert be available round the clock.

Gaga has revealed she likes to wind down by working out after a show sometimes, but now she's in Dublin, she won't have much difficulty finding her other favoured wind-down - Jameson's Irish whiskey.
