Just good friends?: Cheryl Cole and Derek Hough pictured together in AugustCheryl Cole has reignited rumours about her friendship with dancer Derek Hough – by flying him over to the UK from America to stay with her.
The 27-year-old X Factor judge begged Hough, 25, to cheer her up after she was lambasted by viewers for giving contestant Wagner a dressing-down on the show.
‘Cheryl has had a tough time, including a few spats with some of the other judges on X Factor,’ says a friend. ‘She feels she needs a little TLC.
‘Derek is always the person she turns to and she called him last week to beg him to come over and see her. He arrives on Tuesday.’
Their close friendship has led many to believe they are more than just good chums.
