The daytime show kicked off the start of their topic with a candid display of sexual positions performed by a young couple in the studio.
Led by sex expert Tracy Cox, the couple adopted a number of different sexual positions to show couples how to spice up their love life.
Phillip Schofield maintained a serious face as the spectacle unfolded, but a laugh did sneak out from Holly Willoughby.
Over the top: Some viewers felt the scenes inappropriate and too much pre-watershed But in postings on an online forum viewers soon made their opinions known. One commenter Gold_Fish: 'I found some of it inappropriate considering it's a morning show.'
While fellow viewer jonny-boy20 said: 'Its a little disturbing hearing Phil talking about vibrators and orgasms at half ten in the morning!
Sex expert Cox showed viewers how to enjoy sex despite being too tired, too bloated, or being of differing heights.
But with plenty of mothers with young children in the show's audience, it's a fair bet that many of them may have felt compelled to switch over.

xHx agreed posted on Digital Spy's forums: 'Far too many kids out there watching this, completely wrong time of day for this sort of feature. No problems with it but it should be post watershed!'
But not everyone was in agreement. Elnombre defended the show and said: 'It's about committed couples in relationships having a healthy sex life together. Is hearing about that really damaging to children?'
The item was preceded by a short film and interview with Dannii Frost who went to a workshop on how to achieve an orgasm.
Despite a lot of trying, and a boyfriend for three years, Dannii, 23, has never been able to orgasm.
The programme sent her off to sex therapist Mary Clegg who gave her an insight to the orgasm with a view to helping her achieve her first one.

Today's show is part of a week long initiative called Sex Up Your Life Week and other topics being covered this week will be sexual fulfilment, discussing sexual problems (case studies with Dr Chris Steele), ways to boost a flagging love life, and sexual infidelity and taboos.
Executive producer Karl Newton said: 'We decided after the success of our ‘love week’ earlier this year to turn up the heat and launch a special sex week covering a whole spectrum of issues from infidelity to poor performance and from over sexed men to sexual diseases.
No area is off limit and each day our content will be as informative, educational and fun.’
