Avoided: The little girl walks into the arms of one of Lady Gaga's entourage as she attempts to have her picture taken with the famous singer

She may be loved and adored by young fans around the world, but the reaction of one Lady Gaga's security team will leave a bad taste in the mouth of one eager young lady.

A little girl starstruck by the chart-topping singer was bundled away by a burly bodyguard when she tried to pose for a picture with the mega star.

Yesterday the little girl was ushered through barriers set up around the entrance to the St. David's Hotel by her father as the 23-year-old exited the venue en route to her gig.

Once the girl had reached steps leading to the entrance, her watching father tried to instruct her to hug Gaga and pose for a photograph.

However, as the red-jacketed girl approached Gaga, wearing a black dress and veil, one of the singer's huge bodyguards grabbed her by the shoulders and lifted her out of sight.

An onlooker said: 'The little girl was smiling and obviously wanted a cuddle for her picture.

Upset: The young fan appears to be close to tears as she's thwarted by a member of Gaga's security team

'But as she got close a big bodyguard stepped in, placed his hands on her shoulders, and hoisted the child away.

'He held on to her at the top of the steps while Gaga was able to walk away and onto her tour bus.'

The unnamed blonde tot was caught on camera posing with reality TV judge Amanda Holden at the same spot four weeks ago during Cardiff's Britain's Got Talent Auditions.

Injuries: The singer sported scratches on her forearm - no doubt picked up during one of her energetic performances

Earlier this week Gaga put on an epic performance of self-promotion during her appearance on the Jonathan Ross show..

As a guest of the BBC host, she managed to wear three different outfits on the theme of the telephone.

(Just in case the audience happened to miss it, Telephone is the title of her latest single.)

Dial P for publicity: Lady Gaga's initial appearance before the camera

The New York native recorded an interview on Tuesday with Ross for his Friday night show.

She was first pictured in the green room in an elaborate PVC hat with a veil and silver telephone on top.

This was replaced for the interview itself by a black old-style telephone on her head, matching a black shiny trouser suit which showed her bra.
