
Justin Bieber is no stranger to thousands of girls throwing themselves at him.
But the 16-year-old singer experienced a new level of adoration yesterday when an outdoor concert in Australia was cancelled after too many fans turned up and caused a security risk.
Police were called to the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay, Sydney, after several young fans were crushed in the crowds.

The One Time singer had been due to perform an outdoor concert for fans after an early morning interview on Australia's Sunrise TV show.
But fans who had started queueing the night before surged forward with excitement at around 2am while they were waiting, causing 10 girls to faint and paramedics to be called.
Officials then deemed it was too much of a security risk to go ahead with the concert and, due to 'mass scenes of hysteria', the performance was cancelled.


But the news was not taken well by the thousands of fans who had been hoping to catch even the slightest glimpse of their idol as he performed for Australian TV show Sunrise.
Many of them held up hastily made signs reading comments such as 'This sucks!', while others had to be comforted by parents after breaking down in tears following hte devastating news.
However, in a bid to placate his angry fans, Bieber later wrote on his Twitter page: 'With everything that happened 2day I want u all 2 know I care and U all rule and if I could thank every 1 of u individually I would.'


Bieber is currently on tour in Australia promoting his debut album My World 2.0.
And despite his tender age, Bieber is using his time Down Under to hunt for potential girlfriends.
He wrote on his Twitter page: 'Just arrived and I like Australia. I like the weather, the accents, the girls, the water, the excitement, the girls and - the girls.'
The son of a single mother, Bieber taught himself how to play drums, piano, guitar and trumpet.
He then recorded his own versions of R & B songs by artists like Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown and Stevie Wonder, posting dozens of videos on YouTube.
Within weeks he had racked up more than 10million hits, simply by word of mouth.
And after his work was spotted by a record executive he was flown to the States for meetings.
Justin Timberlake rushed to offer him a record deal, but after some thought he signed with Usher - at the age of just 13.
He is now one of the most popular teen singers in the world, and is constantly followed by fans everywhere he goes.
