If there was one place to be this weekend, then it was the Coachella Festival in Los Angeles.
Celebrities flocked to lap up the bright sunshine and watch performances by stars such as Beyoncé. By Lizzie Smith
The pop princess joined her husband Jay Z on stage to sing his hit Forever Young, wearing an X-rated T-shirt emblazoned with the words 'Punk-ass mother f*****'.
And there were as many stars in the audience as there were on stage.
Katy Perry showed off her curves in perhaps her most revealing outfit yet - a black bikini top and skirt with a belt-like band wrapped around her chest.
The singer appeared without fiancé Russell Brand, who she plans to marry later this year.

But actresses Kate Bosworth and Anne Hathaway both attended the festival on the arms of their new men.
Kate, with Alexander Skarsgard from True Blood, wore a pink crocheted dress, while Anne went for a fringed tribal number.
Kelly Osbourne wore her purple hair in a vintage-style wave, teamed with a 1950s-style floral dress and bowling shoes.
British model Agyness Deyn showed off her new shaved hairdo.
She teamed it with a baby pink dress, tweeting: 'Wearing pink as not to look like I'm a skin head thug! Tried to find a baby stick on bow but unsuccessful.'
The Hills star Whitney Port wore a barely there outfit of black shorts and a bra top.
Sadly for many European fans, the grounding of aircraft due to the volcanic ash cloud meant plans to travel to the music festival had to be aborted.
And British bands The Cribs and Los Campesinos! - who were all meant to be performing at the festival - were not able to fly out.
Other confirmed cancellations include Bad Lieutenant and Frightened Rabbit, with Gary Numan unlikely to make his Sunday evening performance.
Luckily for fans Gorillaz, Muse will Florence & The Machine, Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Little Boots were all already in the U.S.
On Friday The Specials drew a huge crowd, during their first American tour since 1981.
The Coventry band were followed by Them Crooked Vultures and LCD Soundsystem.
The festival continues until Sunday.
