Gary Lineker takes wife Danielle last-minute shopping in his new BMW ahead of their World Cup coverage in South Africa

By Jessica Satherley

Gary and Danielle Lineker head out in their new BMW for a spot of shopping in London's Notting Hill for last-minute supplies before they head to South Africa for their World Cup coverage

With only days to go before the Linekers jet down to South Africa for their World Cup TV coverage, the stylish couple dashed around London for some last-minute shopping.

And Gary took the opportunity to race around town with his stunning wife in his new convertible BMW.

Wife Danielle was the perfect accessory for the England legend’s sports car and the pair cruised around Notting Hill in matching aviator sunglasses.

We’re sure Danielle’s wardrobe is already quite spectacular but a girl can never have too many outfits, and the model packed out the BMW’s boot with bags of shopping.

The 30-year-old beauty will present behind-the-scenes footage of the football World Cup for GMTV, so was no doubt picking up her on-screen outfits.

And while Danielle is presenting her gig, which has been labelled as a unique guide to the tournament in South Africa, her husband Gary will be working for the BBC, heading their TV coverage of the competition.

Matching: The couple wore similar aviator sunglasses, shorts and sandals as they stepped out in London's sunshine for a day of shopping

A source told The Sun: 'It's funny the Linekers are presenting coverage for rival channels.

'Danielle will look at fashion - from the squad's suits to what a footballer packs in his suitcase - and what goes on behind the scenes.'

Despite being a WAG, Danielle is no stranger to work and was earning her own keep before she got together with her ex-footballer husband.

The Welsh-born model has been working independently of her spouse since they got together, and her latest job before her GMTV appearance involves imitating Marilyn Monroe for breadmakers Hovis.

Appearing to have been airbrushed quite severely, Danielle poses in a light blue silk dress with hearts printed on it and an elegant pair of white, elbow-length gloves to recreate a pose from Monroe's Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

And the couple made the most of London’s glorious weather by both sporting shorts and sandals, to soak up as much sun as they could before their big trip.

She has her hair styled in a similar manner to Monroe in the original shot, although she has slightly fewer male companions for the shoot - a mere two, in comparison with the large group that surrounds the 50s icon.

In the advertisement for the company's Hearty Oats, Danielle urges people to be healthy and Get Their Oats.

And we’re sure the campaign will work wonders if the bread is Danielle’s secret to keeping in such great shape.
