Cheering on Daddy: Emile Heskey's fiancée Chantelle Tagoe and their two sons watch the England V Slovenia game at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium

Despite Fabio Capello's no-WAG rule this World Cup, the England boys definitely needed some moral support today.

And who better to provide that than their loving wives and girlfriends, some of whom defied the Italian manager's request and flew into South Africa for today's crucial match against Slovenia.

First in was Emile Heskey's fiancée Chantelle Tagoe, who arrived in Port Elizabeth with the couple's two sons.

They were seen in the crowd at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, with one of their boys proudly wearing a tall St George's Cross hat as they watched England beat Slovenia 1-0.

She was joined in the stadium by fellow WAGs Ellie Darby, who is the girlfriend of Matthew Upson, and defender Glen Johnson's wife Laura.

Laura clutched their baby daughter as she watched the match from the stands, while Ellie looked nervously on.

Carly Cole was another WAG that defied Capello's rule as she jetted off to South Africa yesterday.

The wife of midfielder Joe Cole flew out of Heathrow with the couple's baby daughter Ruby ahead of the team's crunch match.
