Isle of bit of alright: The Saturdays take to the stage in colourful playsuits on the Big Top stage at the Isle Of Wight Festival

Festivals are usually known for muddy fields, rock bands and drunken music fans.
So girl group The Saturdays provided some much needed glamour to the Isle Of Wight Festival today as they performed in skimpy playsuits.

The five-piece performed a selection of their hits on the Big Top stage, just 20 minutes before the England V USA game kicked off at the World Cup.

The sexy group also debuted their new single Missing You, from their upcoming third album.

Keeping up their recurring theme of wearing different colours, Rochelle Wiseman, Una Healy, Frankie Sandford, Vanessa White and Mollie King were dressed in blue, red, green, black and orange floral playsuits and ankle boots.

However, before taking to the stage, the group embraced a more feminine, summery look in shorts and patterned dresses.

Irish singer Healy, 28, went for a hippy chick look with a floral smock and denim pedal pushers with a garland of flowers in her hair.

Writing on her Twitter page after their gig, Wiseman, 21, said: 'Isle of Wight you were an amazing crowd! Literally amazing! Our car is on a high! The best Saturdays day ever.'

The timing of their performance and their subsequent travelling back to the mainland meant the group couldn't watch the World Cup game.

Wiseman lamented: 'C'mon England!!!!! Gutted I'll be missing out... getting frustrating not watching the footie.'

While Wiseman was supporting England in the football, her bandmate Healy was more preoccupied with the rugby, because her boyfriend Ben Foden was playing for the England team.

Unfortunately, England lost 27-17 to Australia in Perth, Western Australia.

The Saturdays arrived on the Isle Of Wight by ferry on Saturday morning before returning to the mainland after their gig.

Also performing on the second day of the festival was Blondie, N-Dubz, The Strokes and Paloma Faith.

Redhead singer Faith put on an energetic performance in an animal-print floor-length coat, matching pants and red accessories.
