Sherlock Holmes: Leading ladies Rachel McAdams and Kelly Reilly go demure at premiere

By Chris Johnson

The two leading ladies of the Sherlock Holmes film looked absolutely stunning as they attended the London premiere of the movie in long Grecian-style dresses tonight.

But English actress Kelly Reilly and Canadian star Rachel McAdams both struggled in their ensembles as they made their way on to the red carpet in Leicester Square.

The rainy weather meant their were outfits were left wet at the bottom, with McAdams enlisting the help of a minder to hold up her dress as she signed autographs for fans

Old-fashioned lamps and smog helped to recreate the atmosphere of Victorian London at the event, attended by stars including Heather Graham and Gwen Stefani.

Jude Law described director Guy Ritchie as like a father to two wayward sons as he arrived alongside co-star Robert Downey Jr.

Downey Jr plays the super sleuth while Law takes on the role of his ally Dr John Watson.
