Curves ahead: Brooklyn Decker put her form on show at the ESPY Awards in LA tonight

Brooklyn Decker, the wife of tennis ace Andy Roddick, served up plenty of glamour at the ESPY Awards in LA last night.

The Sports Illustrated model, who recently wrapped filming a part in Jennifer Aniston's new romcom Just Go With It, put her enviable figure on show on the red carpet in a tight Herve Leger dress.

The 23-year-old arrived at the event without her famous husband, but kept him close to her heart with a 'Love' charm on her necklace.

Still, Brooklyn certainly had plenty of competition in the fashion stakes.

Twilight actress Ashley Greene turned heads in a red halter-neck frock while reality TV star Kendra Wilkinson kept it short and sweet in a little black dress.

Marisa Miller, who was voted FHM's Sexiest Woman in the World earlier this year, proved she was still worthy of her title in a dress that featured a cut-out back.

Zac Efron played it cool in shades and a sharp suit, later taking to the stage to present a gong with Mad Men star January Jones.

Saturday Night Live comedian Andy Samberg scored plenty of laughs as he surprised host Seth Meyers inside the Nokia Theatre dressed as unofficial World Cup mascot Paul the Octopus.

Tiger Woods and the Kardashians were at the receiving end of some sharp barbs at one of US television's biggest and glitziest awards shows.

Comedian Meyers mercilessly ripped into the personalities as he presented the ESPYs - ESPN's sport version of the Grammys - in front of a star-studded audience.

The show featured many World Cup jokes, with funnyman Will Ferrell coming on stage as the 'inventor' of the infamous vuvuzuelas and Andy Samberg dressing up as Paul the Octopus.

But the biggest laughs of the night came as Meyers, a cast member of cult sketch show Saturday Night Live, got stuck into Tiger Woods.

He started by joking about his expected divorce settlement with wife Elin, mentioning some of the biggest basketball transfers of the off-season and then adding: 'But we all know which free agent is making the most money this summer - Elin Nordegren.'

Meyers later joked about the golfer's various affairs, asking the crowd to cheer for the golfer - then adding: "Everyone give it up for Tiger Woods if you haven't already!"

He then brought out blushes from NFL player Reggie Bush as he got stuck into the Kardashian sisters.

Bush used to date reality TV star Kim Kardashian, whose sister is also married to basketballer Lamar Odom.

Explaining the ESPYs to the crowd, Meyers deadpanned: 'This is where sports and entertainment come together it's like a Kardashian sister's bedroom.']

The likes of Marissa Miller, Zach Efron, Samuel L Jackson, Jon Hamm, Mark Wahlberg, Ashley Greene and Danica Patrick were among those watching and presenting the awards.

Among the winners were snowboarder Shaun White, the US football team and tennis player John Isner, who took part in the longest match ever played earlier this year at Wimbledon.

Drew Brees was the night's big winner, collecting four trophies, including male athlete of the year.

The New Orleans Saints quarterback also won best championship performance, NFL player and shared the team award with his Super Bowl champion colleagues.

'It's hard to beat the Lakers in LA,' Saints coach Sean Payton said, hoisting the silver team trophy.

'I'd also like to thank the Who Dat nation,' Brees said. 'We love you.'

Gold medal-winning skier Lindsey Vonn won female athlete of the year honours during the show hosted by Saturday Night Live comic Seth Meyers that aired live on ESPN from the Nokia Theatre.

In a controversial win, she beat four times Wimbledon champion Serena Williams to take the prize.

'This is coming from the fans,' Vonn said backstage.

'It's not basketball, tennis or golf. It's not as highly viewed as other sports. To win is a lot more than I expected.' Vonn was also chosen best female Olympian.

Landon Donovan of the U.S. national soccer team picked up three trophies, for best moment in a World Cup game against Algeria, best MLS player and the performance under pressure award.

Earlier he turned plenty of heads as he arrived with his actress wife Bianca Kajlich.

It was the first public appearance for the formerly estranged pair, who have endured separation and scandal in recent times.

Phil Mickelson ended Tiger Woods' five-year run as best male golfer, denying Woods a record 23rd career ESPY.

Phil Jackson of the two-time defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers was named best coach, while Kobe Bryant won best NBA player.

Basketball star LeBron James was booed when a montage of male athlete nominees was shown. He didn't attend the 18th annual awards.

Meyers commented on James' decision to leave Cleveland as a free agent and sign with the Miami Heat.

'Did it really need to be an hour?' Meyers said. 'Somebody time me. Miami. How long did that take? A second.'

Actors Steve Carell and Paul Rudd spoofed James' hour-long decision special on ESPN in a pre-taped bit that culminated in Carell announcing he had chosen to eat dinner at Outback instead of his longtime haunt Chili's.

Meyers closed the show by saying, 'Stay tuned to ESPN for an encore presentation of LeBron James' 'The Decision.'

Snowboarder Shaun White won for best male U.S. Olympian and best action sport athlete.
