Nicole Kidman shows daughter Sunday Rose how to stay safe under the Hawaii sun

Safe in the sun: Nicole Kidman wore a long-sleeved top, shades and a hat to protect her skin in Hawaii; daughter Sunday Rose was covered in sunscreen


With her red hair and pale skin, Nicole Kidman knows all about the importance of staying out of the sun.

And the Australian actress is making sure her 21-month-old daughter is equally well educated, protecting Sunday Rose with a large sunhat, flowered smock dress and lashings of sunscreen as they visited the beach at the weekend.

The Australian actress was more than ready for the warm weather in Hawaii, wearing a matching straw hat, long-sleeved top and shades.

The pair spent the day splashing about in the surf and playing in the sand at a popular snorkelling spot.

'Nicole went for a swim while the nanny was looking after Sunday Rose,' said an onlooker.

'It's a pretty popular beach, not private or anything. There were about a dozen more families out on the sand but nobody noticed Nicole.

'She was covered up pretty well in a blue surf vest, shades and purple bikini bottoms.'

The 42-year-old and her daughter flew out after attending the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas last Sunday.

Nicole's husband Keith Urban was unable to join them as he is due to perform at the Stagecoach Festival in California this weekend.

The size of Nicole's role in the film in currently unclear, with some Hollywood sources saying it would only be a cameo.

Despite the smallness of the role, the film's location of Hawaii would be a draw for Nicole who was born on the U.S. island before her parents brought her back to Australia when she was four years old.

Just Go With It stars Adam Sandler as a commitment-phone plastic surgeon, who lies to his much younger girlfriend Beverly (played by Andy Roddick's wife Brooklyn Decker) that he's married with children.

He enlists the help of Jennifer's single mother character to pretend to be his 'estranged wife'.
